Relaunch, Renew, Restore Just Malanb

Hello all my JMB Mavens. I am back for the brand new relaunch of Just Malanb. Just Malanb is a full somewhat intense look at my weight loss  journey, my life with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and other personal events in my life. So lets start at the beginning. Why did I start Just Malanb?

For a long time and many therapy sessions, I was told to journal my thoughts, so why not do it online and get a look on how I am moving towards my goals in my personal life and hopefully help others dealing with these problems too. I am going to talk about my goal to reach 145 pound, living with PTSD and depression, and a look at my real life. I will have photos of just about everything, my food, my life out with the hubby, fitness and nutition, and more!

Stay Tuned!

Until Next Time

When you're sick it is not easy being healthy?!

So I am sick again! Sadly this is not a surprise considering that I usually get sick everytime the season changes. So take this as a sign that spring is almos here. Pollen and all! lol I am a living weather report. So while I am on my nebulizer and cough medicine, how do I keep my on my diet? I am not having finding healthy option but about actually eating. When I am sick, I do not want to eat and that is not good. In order for the body to work properly, a person has to eat at least 1,200 calories a day to survive. Right now according to Myfitnesspal app my calorie goal is 1560 a day. When I add my exercise my calories go up. I think I have to figure out why I am sick so often thoughout the year and how to change that through my diet.

10 pounds down...The Bet continues

I am so happy to announce that I lost 10 pounds so far :) I lose 2 pound the first week, 3 pounds the second week, and 5 pounds this week! Yes I hit the double digits in 3 weeks. So far watching my calories and allowing only 1 cheat meal every 2 week is really working. I am keeping my calorie intake under 1600 but not lower than 1250.  The only compliment I have is that healthier food is quite expensive. Luckily, I am surrounded by tons of great grocery stores where I can shop around. Yes bargain shopping is always the best shopping especially when it comes to food.

All in all I am doing pretty good with tracking my food and eating tons of veggies (mostly spinach!) I do need to expand my recipe book for making healthier meals. Recently, I downloaded a healthy cooking app called Eating Well. Next week I will be going through my Eat well app and seeing what healthy cooking situations I can get myself into.

Hoboken Eats!

While in Hoboken working on a new project with some great fellow bloggers in New Jersey (Details hopefully will be developing soon). I grabbed a bit to eat at Hoboken Bar & Grill. I ordered a turkey burger with cheese. lettuce, tomatoes, avocado,  a side of fries, and a delish bowl of Clam Chowder.  It was really good. I almost forgot I ordered a Candy Cherry Martini. Usually I don't drink candy/sweet drinks (except for an amaretto sour) but this was pretty good cocktail.
